Reflections on Time and How We Spend It

I used to measure a good day by how much I got done.

If the to-do list was crossed off, the day was a success. If it wasn't, I felt like I had fallen behind. But recently, I've started questioning what "falling behind" actually means.

Time spent resting is not time wasted. It is time invested in your future focus.

When we constantly optimize for productivity, we leave very little room for spontaneity. We schedule our days so tightly that a single unexpected event can derail our entire mood.

I'm trying to change that.

I'm trying to leave blank spaces in my calendar. Not to fill them with more work later, but to simply let them be blank.

It's uncomfortable at first. We are conditioned to be busy. But in those quiet, unscheduled hours, I've found more clarity than I ever did at the bottom of a checklist.
